Resu lts show that the positions and intensity of geopotential height fields and the number of sandstorms is closely related. In the yearw ith more sandstorm s, there is a negative anom a- ly area at 500hPa height field inMongolia andw est part ofH ex,i jet at 200hPa locates in north ofHetao, and in the area of Bekal Lake there is a negativeOLR anomaly
