Teaching Plan of Book 6 unit2 Poems Using language-Reading and Writing Teaching aims : 1. knowledge aim -by listening and reading the poems .I’help the students to have a better understanding of poems and their emotions and find out the rhyme and rhythm. 2. Ability aim- using language is a comprehensive practice to improve the studentslistening speaking,reading and writing ability. 3. Emotion aim- while reading the poems I want to arouse the students of respect and gratitude of their parents and love of life. Teaching important points:To get the students appreciate poems and find out the rules of the poems. Teaching difficult points:The students can write their own poems after learning this unit. Teaching methods:Task-based methods, communicating methods,group work method.. Teaching aids: multimedia ,chalks etc. Teaching procedures Step1. Leading in 1.Enjoy a poem with gesture performance(saying goodbye to Cambridge again) 2.Have a competition. Listen to the four Chinese traditional poems according to their English Translation . tell me the title and the author of them. Step 2. Guessing game. show five poems and you should tell me what kind of poems they are.List poems ,Haiku,Cinquin, Tang poems and nursety thyme .Next,I will Step3. Reading Task 1.Listen to the poem and answer the questions. Question1: does the poem have a rhythmic pattern? Question2: does the poem have rhyming words? Task 2. Try beating and reading the poem Ive saved the summer . 1. Choose the closest main idea of this poem. 2. Do you think the speaker in the poem is more likely to be a boyfriend girlfriend or a parent? why? 3.Emotion education- Love and respect your parents,treasure what you have. Step 4. Writing Work in groups.Write a list poem starting with If IIn subjective mood. Just like poems C on Page Ten.Write two lines each.It does not have to rhyme.You group can use one of these lines to start your group poem.Then,share your poems in class. Step 5.
