The vice secretary expressed on behalf of the provincial government great appreciation for the consul generalefforts in promoting Guangdong-Japanese friendly exchanges and cooperation, conveying the positive appraisal of the Member of the Political Bureau of the CCP Central Committee and Secretary of the CCP Guangdong Provincial Committee, on the Japanese Consul General contribution to Guangdong-Japan friendly ties. He noted that Guangdong highly values the development of its friendly relations with Japan. In recent years, with thejoint efforts of both sides, Guangdong-Japan communication and cooperation has ledto an encouraging achievement among trade, culture, education and other fields. Japan’s three bigautomobile companies have settled in Guangdong and the cooperation in the automobile industry is drivingthe mutual economic and trade cooperation. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment ofGuangdong-Hyogo sister state relations, and so far Guangdong has set up sisterhoods with 6 Japan citieswith increasing active communication, which promoted the common development significantly.
