Corresponding author : MENG Y i, E-mail: imonm @ sina. com) Abstract: Solution treatment and aging treatment of the new extruded aluminum allo A-l M g-Si w ere investigated b mechanical properties tests, SEM, DSC and metallographic microscope to suppl the references for the heat treatment plans of productions and further experimental research. T he results show ed the over-burnt temperature of the extrusion is 572 e and the melting temperature is 594 e . Solution treatment at 560 e for 2 hours and aging treatment at 170 e for 12 hours are the optimal peak-aging treatment condition. The corresponding mechanical properties are 406 MPa in UTS, 340 M Pa in ield strength and 18137% in elongation. The full recr stallization are observed in the extrusion, resulting in disappearing of the w ork hardening phenomenon.
