Unit9.What does he look like? Period5 Section B 2a-2c 本课分析 本节课的教学活动以阅读训练为主,通过阅读进一步巩固所学语言,为下节课输出性写作活动做铺垫。2a是读前活动,要求学生写出关于外貌的反义词,从而巩固前面所学的基本词汇,同时为接下来的阅读做好准备。2b通过报纸文章的阅读,将本单元的描述外貌,通过描述寻找对应人物等单元功能结构一一呈现出来,显得自然贴切,而且具有实用性。 教学目标: 能掌握以下单词:artist, criminal, crime, put, each,way, describe,differently, another, end, in the end, real 2.能掌握以下句型: ① —What does he/she look like? —He/She is... . He/She has ... . ② Many people don’t always see things the same way so they may describe the same person differently. ③ Also, they don’t always remember well. 教学重难点 1. 教学重点: 1) 能够读懂一些简单的介绍人物的短文,获得相关信息,并能使用目标语言描写某个人物。 2. 教学难点 阅读一些简单的介绍人物的短文,并能获得相关信息。 课时安排 1课时 教学方法:任务型教学法、启发式教学法、小组合作学习法 教学流程: Step1. Warming- up and revision Step2. Presentation 1. Look at the pictures on the screen. Talk about the pictures with a partner. What does he/she look like? 2. Ss work in pairs and talk about the pictures. 3. Let some pairs ask and answer the pictures aloud. 4.Work on 2a.Complete the chart with words of the opposite meaning. 设计意图:先呈现外貌有对比性的人物图片,要求学生用句型问答,对2a部分有引导作用,同时为2b的长课文埋下伏笔。新单词的教授,也有利于下一个环节的顺利处理。 Step3. Reading 1. Fast Reading Read the article in 2b and answer the question “Which picture shows the real criminal?” Ss read the article quickly and answer it. Read it again and try to find the main character’s name and job.Then check the answers. 2. Careful reading: Read the first postcard again and find the answers to these questions. ① What does Joe Brown do? ② Is his work easy or difficult? Why? ③ What does the real criminal look like? Which picture shows the real criminal? Ss read the postcards and try to find the answers to the questions. Then check the answers with the class. Step4. After Reading 1. Read the article again and write what the words in bold refer to. 2. Check the answers with Ss. 设计意图:分三个环节对课文进行分析,既有对文章的整体把握,又有对细节的详细分析。阅读指导部分培养了学生的阅读技巧,提高阅读理解能力。 Step 5. Summary Let the students sum up what they have learned in the class. 设计意图:让学生总结这节课所学内容,对所学内容加深印
