Unit12 What did you do last weekend?Section A (1a-2d)
一、教学目标:
1. 语言知识目标:
1)掌握以下单词:camp,lake, beach, badminton, sheep, as, natural, butterfly, visitor, tired, stay, stay up late.
2)掌握句型:
① — Where did you do last weekend, Lucy?
— I went to summer camp.
② — How was your weekend?
—Great, thanks
③ I worked as a guide at the Natural History Museum.
④ How interesting!
3) 掌握语法:Learn to talk about recent past events.
2.能力目标:提高学生听、说、读、写及知识自学的综合能力。
3. 情感态度价值观目标:
1)通过本课学习,使学生在人际交往中学会尊重与沟通,培养学生合作精神,激发学生学英语的兴趣,增强自信心。
2)讲述美好的周末树立学生享受生活,热爱美好的大自然情感。
二.学情分析:
1.年龄特点:七年级学生缺乏自控力、判断力,他们活泼好动,表现欲非常强烈 ,好奇心强,相当多学生较懒惰、贪玩,学习目的不太明确。2.认知特点:认知能力不断提高。注意力容易分散,个别学生的学习热情较低,学习欠主动。大部分学生对英语很感兴趣,乐于参与各种英语实践活动。
三、教学重难点
1. 教学重点:1) Key vocabulary: camp lake, beach, badminton, sheep, as, natural, butterfly, visitor, tired, stay, stay up late.2) Talk about recent past events
2. 教学难点:1) Talk about recent past events2) Practice students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.
四.Teaching aids:Tape recorder, a projector or a computer五、教学过程
Ⅰ. Warming-up Point to the previous Saturday and Sunday on a wall calendar, let the students to tell some things they did last weekend,
Ⅱ. Presentation
Give the students some pictures and learn some new words.
III. Work on 1a.
This activity introduces the key vocabulary.
1. Focus attention on the picture. Ask students to tell what they see. Name each activity and ask students to repeat: did my homework, went to the cinema, went boating, camped by the lake, went to the beach, played badminton.
2. Point out the numbered list of activities. Say each one again and ask students to repeat.
3. Then ask students to match each activity with one of the pictures. Say, Write the letter of each activity next to the words. Point out the sample answer.
4. Check the answers.

This activity gives students practice in understanding the target language in spoken conversation.
