He had narrowed it down in his own mind to one of two possible causes. The first was the London fog. He disliked fogs unreasonably. Todays was a stinker; it made you feel as if eels were crawling all over you. The second probability, which Renny Renwick thought was more likely, was that he was being followed. However, he hadnt been able to prove this to himself. He hadnt caught anybody hanging around on his trail—exactly.
