Teaching Steps:
Step 1 Greeting
Greet the Ss. as usual.
Step 2 Presentation
1.Have Ss listen and guess what transportation it is. Then ask students to
try to read these words: bike, train, subway, car, ship, boat, bus, plane
2.Show a picture of a bike to present:
How do you get to school? --I get to school by bike./ I ride a bike to school.
3.Teach the take by phrases in the same way.
I get to school by subway = I take the subway to school.
by ship take a ship
by taxi take a taxi
by train take the train
by bus. take the bus
by bike ride a bike
by car drive a car
by plane fly
on foot walk
Step 3 Pair work
1.Have Ss into pairs by using the patterns:
How do you get to school? --I… to school./ I get to school …
2.After One pair, teacher goes on to ask the other Ss
How does he/she get to school?
Step 4 Experiences
1.1a Write the ways to get to school in the list.
2.1b Listen and fill in the blanks.
3.2a Listen and repeat the numbers
4.2b Write the correct number numbers next
