* * The story happens in the future. Jake Sully is an ex-Marine with paralyzed legs. He doesn’t feel anything worth fighting, so he readily accepts the task to be dispatched to Pandora planet. Jake Sully is recruited to travel light years to the human outpost on Pandora, where corporations are mining “Unobtanium”. Pandora planet is not suitable for human life. Native animals are extremely dangerous.Human cant survive in the lethal air.They are unconsious in 20 seconds and dead in four minutes without a breathing mask. They have to set up the Avatar Program, in which human drivers are connecting to the Avatar, a remotely controlled body that can survive in the lethal air. These avatars are grown from human DNA mixed with the DNA of the natives.Jake can walk again. While protecting the avatars of Grace and fellow scientist Dr. Norm Spellman as they collect biological data, Jakes avatar is attacked by a thanator and flees into the forest, where he is rescued by the princess Neytiri. Witnessing an auspicious sign, she takes him to her clan, whereupon Neytiris mother Moat, the clans spiritual leader, orders her daughter to initiate Jake into their society. Over three months, Jake grows to sympathize with the natives. After Jake is initiated into the tribe, he and Neytiri choose each other as mates. But the war broke out.While trying to warn the Navi, Jake confesses to being a spy and the Navi take him and Grace captive. Seeing this, Quaritchs men destroy Hometree, killing Neytiris father (the clan chief) and many others. Moat frees Jake and Grace:“If you are one of us...Help us. ” To regain the Navis trust, Jake connects his mind to that of Toruk, a dragon-like predator feared and honored by the Navi. Jake finds the refugees at the sacred Tree of Souls and pleads with Moat to heal Grace. The clan attempts to transfer Grace from her human body into her avatar with the aid of the Tree of Souls, but she dies before the process can complete. * *
