Step 1 Lead in and review
1. Review the comparatives. Tell us the comparative forms of some words.
2. Show students a picture of their classmates. Let them tell the differences. Describe their best friend and let others guess who he is or who she is.
3. Guessing game
Show students some useful words and expressions. Ask them to describe their best friend and let others guess who she is or who he is.
Step 2 While reading
1. Fast reading
a. Task 1 Underline all the comparative words.
b. Task 2 Answer the questions: What do they think about friends?
c. Check the answers together.
2. Careful reading
