PAGE PAGE 2 ABSTRACT Maintenance of power supply equipments is an important aspect of power system operation. Along with the expansion of power system scale, the fast growth of equipments numbers, as well as the rapid development of economy and the continuous improvement of people’s living standards, the limitations of man-arranged maintenance planning become increasingly apparent, which can hardly meet the higher and higher reliability requirements of customers. To improve the reliability of supply becomes an urgent objective for electricity utilities. To optimize maintenance planning and to utilize the advantages of the computer system to draw a scientific and reasonable maintenance plan will contribute to the secure and stable operation of power system, the realization of regular high-quality services, the increase of customers’ satisfactory level and the enhancement of both utilities’ economic benefits and social benefits. On the basis of the existing equipments maintenance mode and man-arranged maintenance planning procedure of Wuxi Power Supply Company, a profound analysis is carried out. The limitations of the present maintenance planning are pointed out accordingly and the principles of the reliability-based optimization of equipments maintenance planning are proposed. In this paper, at first a reasonable electric network maintenance scheduling procedure and an optimization model are built. Then an optimal algorithm suitable for power supply equipments maintenance planning is discussed and proposed. Finally, through computer programming, an electric network maintenance planning optimization system is built and case studies based on actual maintenance data are performed. Calculation results prove that the proposed optimization approach is correct and effective.
