华 华 中 科 技 大 学 硕 士 学 位 论 文 II II Abstract With the development of Chinas petrochemical industry and the national strategic crude oil reserve project implementation, the earthquake disaster mitigation of storage tanks has become an important research topic. As the uncertainty of the ground motion as well as the complexity of the tank, the storage tank designed by seismic code would still be destroyed by earthquake. The elastomeric seismic-protection isolators system is installed between the base and foundation of the tank to shift the fundamental frequency of a structure away from the dominant frequencies of earthquake ground motion and fundamental frequency of the fixed base structure. Another purpose of an isolation system is to provide an additional way of energy dissipation, so as to reducing the transmitted acceleration into the structure. The graphical representation of the seismic fragility analysis is often regarded as earthquake hazardous, which can be used to predict damage probability of a certain type of structures under earthquake. Nowadays the research of fragility is quite uncommon and there are barely no result of fragility of the base isolation tank. Therefore carrying out the study of the tank damage defense under earthquake disaster has great important value. The main contents of this paper are as followings. 1.The seismic research of the normal and base-isolation vertical storage tanks were elaborated in this paper. Then the research status of seismic fragility analysis domestic and abroad was introduced. At the same time the method of three types of seismic fragility was introduced too. 2.A nonlinear finite element model of a 1000m3 vertical tank was established with ANSYS as the research platform while solid-liquid coupling problem of the tank wall and liquid inside the tank was solved. And the accuracy of the model was verified by comparing with previous studies while modal analysis of the tank has been done. The selection of the seism
