Thoreau helped Emerson to edit the Transcendentalist journal. ;Life; in January 1842 ,Emerson’s son, Waldo, died of scarlet fever(猩红热). In 1847, Emerson again traveled abroad, lecturing in England with success.He renewed his friendship with Carlyle.;Life;Starting in 1867, Emersons health began declining; he wrote much less in his journals.
