Provide the evidents for further study on the etiology, diagnosis and treatment, and give the data for health administrative departments to make health policies and prepare health resources. Methods: The retrospectively study and the technique of infrared spectrophotometry have been used to analze the data of 708 urolithiasis cases from Hospital of Guizhou Provincial and the calculus collected in patients. The distrbution of age, gender and position of stone have been described also. Results: In 708 urolithiasis cases, the ratio of male and female was 1.97 :1. The ratio of 40~60 years old group was 46.60%, ranking first in the urolithiasis cases. The ratio ranking of calculus composition were calcium oxalate (94.77%), carbonate apatite (38.10%), uric acid or ammonium urate (13.41%), magnesium ammonium phosphate (3.53%), dicalcium phosphate (0.56%) and cystine (0.28%). In the cases of patients with oxalate calculus calciun, the ratio of male was 95.95%, female 92.43%, there was no significant difference (P0.05). In In the cases of patients with anhydrous uric acid + calcium oxalate calculus; the ratio of male was 13.40%, the female 3.78%, the male was higher than female (P0.05); and in the infectious calciun (magnesium am
