华中科技大学硕士学位论文 华 中 科 技 大 学 硕 士 学 位 论 文 II II Abstract Nowadays, the traditional energy shortage and environmental pollution become more and more seriously, that two problems turn into the principal matters which restrict the global economic advance. Using the concentrator photovoltaic technology (CPV) is an effective way to solve these questions. CPV systems use a low cost solar concentrator to replace most of expensive solar cells. These systems can both reduce the cost of electricity generation and improve power generation efficiency, compared to flat photovoltaic systems. In view of this technology, the thesis is organized as follows. Firstly, we present research and development of CPV systems in China and foreign countries, the life cycle and the cost of concentrator photovoltaic modules also are analyzed. Secondly, based on the fundamental principles and theories of solar cells, we discuss the output characteristics of concentrator solar cells, we also introduce the preparation of silicon solar cells from silica and the development of concentrator solar cells. Thirdly, according to the power loss mechanisms of solar cells, we design a grid pattern of the front contact electrode for silicon concentrator solar cells, the optimum grid spacing is 109μm and the optimum grid width is 10μm. And the influence of grid width and grid thickness on the total relative power loss is simulated by the software MATLAB. Fourthly, we optimize antireflection coatings for silicon solar cells by the software TFCalc, the IV curves of solar cells also are simulated on computer. Finally, we research the preparation techniques of silicon concentrator solar cells, which include depositing antireflection coating, evaporating metal electrode and packaging. We also test and analyze the output performance of experimental products.
