And how to reduce prejudice, resolve intergroup contradictions and conflicts is a problem in front of the researchers. Perspective taking, as a new intervention strategy in the field of social cognition, not only can reduce the negative stereotypes and prejudice, improve intergroup relations, but also has its own unique advantages, which can avoid the negative impact of other interventions, in the implementation process. This study selected the elderly as the attitude objects to explore the effect of perspective taking on reducing people’s implicit bias against the elderly through three experiments. Study 1 used a 3×2 between-subject design to explore the influence of perspective taking mode and object gender on implicit prejudice against the elderly. The results showed that, (1) perspective taking mode had a significant effect on implicit bias. Compared with control condition, participants implicit bias was significantly lower in perspective-taking-other condition, namely perspective-taking-self can significantly reduce implicit bias. However, there was no significant difference on implicit bias between control and perspective-taking-other condition, namely perspective-taking-other cant significantly reduce implicit bias.
