Research on Reading Literacy Assessment
in Primary and Secondary School Students of Guangxi Region
—Based on Analysis of Rasch Model ABSTRACT
Reading literacy is the foundation for learning across all subjects, it is also the important way to acquire knowledge. Reading literacy assessment in our country is just a part of Chinese test, three influential and leading students education programs all make an assessment about reading literacy. Reading literacy assessment in our country and three influential and leading reading literacy programs are diverse because of the difference between the examination-oriented education system and different cultures in Chinese and Western. In this thesis I employ software of Bondfoxsteps to analyze the Rasch model’s data results of Primary and Secondary School Students in Guangxi Region attending students’ reading literacy programs in the world, and provide evidence to improve the reading ability of Primary and Secondary School Students in Guangxi Region.
The thesis consists of four parts:
The first part, I propose the problems, define several key concepts such as three education evaluation programs, reading literacy, assessment and reading
literacy assessment,and put forward the research methods in this thesis.
The second part, by comparison of students’ reading literacy programs in the world and reading literacy programs of the Chinese test in our country, I
conclude several differences between them.
The third part, I employ Rasch model to analyze the data results of Primary and Secondary School Students in Guangxi Region attending students’ reading
literacy programs in the world,and compare the reading literacy ability of
Primary and Secondary School Students in Guangxi Region with the difficulty of students’ reading literacy programs, and reveal the characteristics of reading literacy of Primary and Secondary School Students in Guangxi Region.
The fourth part, I try to propose feasible suggestions to improve the reading ability of
