ABSTRACT The trend of economic globalization has promoted the rapid development of Chinese economy, at the same time, urbanization and industrialization has made tremendous success. GDP has surpassed Japan, ranking the second place of the world in 2010. But behind the economic development, there has been a huge resource and environmental costs. The imbalance phenomenon is more evident in economic benefits, environmental benefits and social benefits, regional differences in economic development is being increase, the ecological environment has been destructed and it limit the economic development. The economy and the environment cannot adapt to the improve of the times and the peoples living standards，so it bring a series of social problems. It is not conducive to the construction of our prosperity, democracy, civilization, harmonious modern socialist country. The old industrial development pattern has been unable to adapt the requirements of economy and ecology. The development concept and mode of the Industrial Ecology is gradually accepted by most countries in the world, and it become the new industry standard today. In this paper, the author put the Industrial Ecology in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and hope to evaluate the current situation of it, at the same time, give the path to explore. This paper has introduced the theory basis and practical experience the of the Industrial Ecology, and to deepen the focus from the four angles of industry niche, industrial ecological chain, industrial cluster, transfer of industry and industrial deepening, and give the in-depth description of the Industrial Ecology theory. Then, through the empirical study of the practical problems of Guangxi, it constructs the evaluation index system of ecological industry. This evaluation index system has four criterion layers and fifteen index layers, and use the AHP to determine the index weight through expert scoring.
