Abstract
DSSCs(dye-sensitized solar cells) hav e attract ed man y res earch ers ′ int eresti n g fo r th ei r un iqu e ad v ant ages: hi gh solar-to-electricity conversion efficiency in theory, simple preparation technologies and low cost. Polymeric metal complex are excellent dyes used to DSSCs for their unique structure. At first, polymeric metal complex could expand π-conjugation of structure, it is useful to improve the transmission of electron and hole; the second, polymeric metal complex could control the energy gap and transmission of elector by coordination bond and d-π bond between metal and ligand. So two novel polymeric metal complexes for DSSCs based on fluorene, thiophene, 8-Hydroxyquinoline (8-HQ),
2-(2-pyridyl) benzimidazole, 1, 10-Phenathroline and Zn (Ⅱ), Cd (Ⅱ) had been synthesized.
The structure of these polymeric metal complexes had been characterized by 1H NMR, FT-IR and Element analysis. Furthermore, these polymeric metal complexes finally investigated as dyes of dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). The main study as follows:
In this paper 2,5-dibromo-3-[2-(8-hydroxyquinoline)-vinyl]thiophene (D8QPT) had been synthesized successfully first by thiophene and 8-Hydroxyquinoline. Then D8QTP-Zn and D8QTP-Cd had been synthesized through the reaction between D8QPT, 1,
10-Phenathroline and Zn (Ⅱ), Cd (Ⅱ). Finally, new branch chain polymeric metal complexes
(PFT-Zn, PFT-Cd) had been synthesized by D8QTP-Zn, D8QTP-Cd and 9,9-diocty l-2,7-dibrormylfluorene. The stucrute of these novel materials had been characterized by 1H NMR, FT-IR and Element analysis, then their thermal stability and optoelectronic property also had been studied by UV-vis absorption spectroscopy, Photoluminescence spectroscopy, TGA, GPC, DSC and Cyclic voltammetry. The result shows that these materials have good thermal stabilityt and low energy gap. These two polymeric metal complex exhibit a maximum solar-to-electricit
