IV IV Abstract The largest e-waste recycling is Guiyu Shantou, in which the local people make a great profit by means of recycling the precious metals but also destroyed the ecological environment for years. The present study is focus on the investigation and analyzation the pollutants such as heavy metal, PCBs and OCPs in the soils of the internal areas of Guiyu and in the edible plants grown there. After the results of investigation is obtained, facing the reality of the polluted soils, we carried out the repare experiments to remove the heavy metals in the polluted soils in the way of bioleaching. And the results indicate that: The ratio of pollution in internal areas of Guiyu is high，in the soils we collected in the sites, we find that the 33 sites of 40 we investigated surpass the National Standard (GB) Grade I. The heavy metals of manufacture district severely surpass the GB, in which the Cu is the most and the Cr is widest for the overproof-Cr is almost determined at sites. The heavy metals can be also determined in the rices, sugarcane and taro in vivo with the rice the highest. The absorbtion of Ni is little but the Zn and Cu is much in the three crops. The enrichment to the heavy metals of the rice is greater than the caro when the sugarcane is the least. The pollution of PCBs of manufacture areas at Guiyu is severe while the agricultural areas is less serious, less than the Holand Standard. The PCBs of the soils collected in the manufacture areas is 8~20 times than the other areas of Guiyu. The indicative PCB-28,-52,-118,-153,-180, relateing to the food chain were not determined in the soils quite near the recycling workshop, indicates that the PCBs above were not discharged by the workshops along the Nanyang River, but other PCBs would be released for the incineration and acid-washing of the ewaste. In the agricultural the area the content of PCBs in rices, caro and sugarcane is high while edible part occupied a small proportion of a whole plant. The con
