It isoften defined interms of body mass index, or BMI. BMI equals body mass divided by the square of height. An adult with a BMIof18to 25isoftenconsideredto benormalweight. Between 25 and 30 is overweight. And over 30 is considered obese. Obesity, in turn,canbedividedintomoderatelyobese(30to35),severelyobese(35 to40), andvery severelyobese(over40).
