Normally, the selection rules are Quality, Cost, Delivery, Flexibility, Technology and Service, however, most compliance are caused by poor material, so quality is much important than others, its the key to success. Previous method such as incoming inspection or on-site inspection cant control materials quality and manage suppliers well, so, in order to improve this situation, to introduce Six Sigma method to manage suppliers, to dig out every detail process, to find key process factor, to improve yield rate and quality, to establish cooperative win-win supplier relation, then to reduce purchase cost. Six Sigma is an improved way and compensation in supplier management compared with current method: ISO9000, QS9000 and TQM. Introduce the method to find root cause, make improvement, reduce material failure rate and establish win-win relation with supplier based on DMAIC procedure of Six Sigma via providing an actual example (Supplier A).
