(a)In May 1985, English hooligans killed nearly 40 Italians at the Heysel Stadium. English football fans have always got drunk and fought with fans from other countries. The English see football, which they invented, as an opportunity for a fight. (b)The hooligan problem which occurs at many different parts of the world is known as “the English problem”. This is because the English have always behaved liked hooligans at football matches. Even in the 18th century, football in England was more like a battle than a game. (c)English hooligans get drunk at football matches, fight other fans and sometimes kill people. Part of the English population has always behaved like this.
