A sale is an act of completion of a commercial activity involved in selling products or services in return for money or other compensation. When we say the deal is closed we mean the customer has consented to the proposed product or service by making full or partial payment (as in case of installments) to the seller. Sales promotion is a great way to boost sales for a period of time for a specific product or service. Rotating through different sales promotions can always help a sales promotion. The key to a sales promotion is to position a product as a good value. Sales promotions can include the provision of sampling or learning opportunities, joint promotions or collaborations with third party networks, special events, giveaways and competitions, discounts, incentives, value adding and rewards 2. What is the general rule in sales promotion? To push sales, you have to know what you are selling. Make sure you can describe your product in words everyone can understand and choose one product or package of products to promote. Be specific about what you are about to offer your customers, and be clear about what customers need. Then make sure your prices can best suit your market and advance the promotion to the forefront of your advertising strategies. You also have to engender trust on the part of the consumer, stay true to your word about the promotion. Give them everything you promised. Charge exactly what you asked for in the beginning. 3. What specific skills may be applied in your sales promotion? Sales promotion can be achieved by means of changing different products, markets and regions and frequently adjusting your marketing campaign according to different situations.
