Unit 8 Quotation and Offer The Study Purpose The Difference Between Quotation and Offer A satisfactory offer will include the followings: 1. An expression of thanks for enquiry, if any. Ex.We acknowledge receipt of your letter of 1st August enquiring for captioned commodities, for which we thank you. 2. To offer concretely, this includes the following contents: 1) The name of commodity: Ex. Peanut in Shell, 2007 Crop Ex. In such case, the seller usually states the minimum amount for a certain period Ex. If your quantity is over 2,000 dozen a month, we can offer you 10% off. 5) The date of delivery or time of shipment Ex. Not later than 30th November, 2007 Ex. During January/February 2007 with partial shipment allowed. 6) Terms of payment Ex. By confirmed, irrevocable L/C payable against drafts at sight.
