Unit 13 We’re trying to save the earth! Section A (3a-3b) Save the sharks! 一、教学目标: 1. 语言知识目标 基本词汇:shark, fin, cruel. harmful, chain, ecosystem, industry, law, scientific, 基本词组:be harmful to, at the top(of sth.), throw away 基本句型: No scientific studies have showed that shark fins are good for health. We should help save the sharks. 2. 情感目标: be friendly to nature, call for people not’ Finning’ any more. 3. 能力目标:use reading skill(skimming,scanning,careful reading)to get the main idea. 二、教学重难点: How to catch the main idea of the passage and how to call for people to protect the endangered animals. 教学用具: 多媒体,纸 四、教学方法: Skimming, Scanning, careful reading 五、教学步骤: Step one: Warming up Play a guessing game, let students guess the animals.通过猜谜游戏调动课堂气氛,引出鲨鱼的话题。 Step two: Presentation(pre-reading) Picture talking:展示鲨鱼图片,告诉学生鲨鱼不会有意攻击人类,提出问题我们人类又对鲨鱼做了什么呢,这一环节让学生对本文有了背景知识的输入,预测本文内容,同时为下面的学习作好铺垫。 Step three:Skimming(fast reading) Listen to the passage. Find out what the main idea of each paragraph is? Paragraph 1 We should help save the sharks. Paragraph 2 An introduction of shark fin soup. Paragraph 3 Sharks are endangered because of people’s killing. Step four:Careful reading Read Para 1. and answer 1. Can you find three words to describe this dish? 2.
