Setting and Reporting The duration of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) internship is normally on a full time basis. Interns work five days per week under the supervision of an official in the division or office to which they are assigned. ACC will provide interns an allowance of 1000 Yuan per month for transportation and lunch. Other expenses related to the internship shall be covered by interns themselves. ACC internship offers exposure to a multicultural work environment, and interaction with colleagues from various countries and backgrounds. Interns will gain first-hand experience with regard to the ASEAN-China cooperation in the areas of trade and investment, education, culture and tourism. They will also gain a better understanding of how the ACC works and its range of activities. ACC accepts no responsibility for costs arising from accidents and/or illness incurred during an internship. Therefore, upon awarding an internship, candidates will be required to sign a letter confirming their understanding and acceptance of the conditions of service. Responsibilities The intern will be supporting the Division substantively and administratively. The duties to be performed may include the following: - Assists in day-to-day operations/desk work, and a variety of clerical tasks; - Assists in organizing conferences/meetings; produces reliable draft translations that accurately reflect the substance of the original language text along with accurate summary records of meetings; - Assists in drafting brief summaries/press release of the events of IPRD, in both English and Chinese; - Assists in coordinating with relevant agencies and media to fulfill IPRD’s tasks, projects
