The compounds also suppress aromatase activity, thus preventing the conversion of testosterone into oestrogen, which is a problem in elderly males. These compounds have therefore been shown to have major hormonal effects in patients with urinary bladder disease.Based on these principles, an active extract of pumpkin seeds (EFLA940) has been perfected by a Swiss company. The product is a broad-spectrum extract which contains several non-lipophilic components.
