My Hometown The Brief Introduction Sonjiang Lies in the southwest of Shanghai .She formerly known as Huating (Yujian was another name for the district then) for Songjiang County .She was established in 751 (the 10th year under reign of Tian Bai of the Tang Dynasty). It was the political, economic and cultural center of shanghai before Shanghai was opened as a port to foreign countries and has been Songjiang District since 1998.
