第一课时
Step 1 Warming up
Lets chant!
Presentation.
(1)Present the key vocabulary.
(Show a basketball to the class.)
Whats this in English? Ss: Its a basketball.
Yes, youre right. How do you spell it? Ss: B-A- S-K- E-T- B- A- L- L, basketball.
(Show the students other objects. Teach the new words “ soccer ball, ping - pong ball,
volleyball, tennis bat, ping - pong bat” in the same way.)
Read the words after the teacher and then read together twice.
(2)Present the key structure.
Present these questions and answers on the blackboard. (Point to a student who has a pencil box.)
Do you have a pencil box? S1: Yes, I do. (Nod your head.)
Do you have a basketball?
S1: No, I dont. (Shake your head.)
Step 2 Work on 1a
1. Look and find.
Please look at the picture in Activity 1a. There are some balls in it. Do you know what kind of balls they are?
2. Match and discuss.
3. Check the answers.
Do you have the answers? Lets check them together.

4. Read the words.
Step 3 Work on 1b
Listen and circle.

Translate and explain. eg.

Read the conversation in 1c.
Look at the picture in 1a and practice the conversation with each other in pairs.
Work in the group of two and use the picture to practice the similar conversations with the
new words. (basketball, baseball bat, soccer ball, volleyball, computer, ping - pong bat, baseball)
Step 5 Homework
复习记忆本课所学的生词。
编写三个问答句 ,分别询问一下你的朋友是否有篮球、(英式 )足球和排球。
第二课时
Step 1 Warming up and revision
1. Warming up: Guessing game.
One student describes some characters about the ball, and lets the other student guess what it
is.
2. Revision.
Practice the conversation with your partner.

— Do you have a ?
— No, I dont.
