Unit 7 I’ll help clean up the city parks
(The First Period)
I. Teaching objectives
1. Knowledge Objects:
(1) Key Vocabulary
clean up, hunger, homeless, cheer up, give out
(2) Target Language
I’d like to work outside.
You could help clean up the city parks.
2. Ability Objects:
(1) Train the students to express offering to help with the target language.
(2) Train the listening skill of the students.
3. Moral Objects:
(1)To help students realize the meaning of volunteering
(2) To cultivate the sense of helping others
(3) To enable the students to offer help to the others as much as possible.
4. Strategy Objects:
To understand the target language by reading the pictures.
5. Culture Awareness Objects:

IV.Teaching Procedures
Step 1 Pre_task
(1)Greet the class as usual and check the homework..
(2)Ask some students to report their parents or friends problems and the advice they gave them.
(3)Give them little presents if some of them do their work well.
Step 2 Lead-in
Use several questions that we have learned to lead into the context. Use the structure: Where would you like to visit? Would you like to visit it? Do you think being a volunteer is great? Do you hope to become volunteer?
Step3 Present the Key Vocabulary
Write the new words and phrases on the blackboard and explain them.
Step4 Pairwork
Ask students to pay attention to look at the bulletin board and talk about the posters in pairs.
