Ⅰ. Teaching aims and demands
1. Knowledge aim: Be able to read and know the passage of letter and finish the exercises.
2. Aility aim: Be able to listen, read, say and write the sentences: On Monday John went to a restaurant. On Tuesday he went to a park. On Wednesday he played ping-pong. On Thursday he climbed a mountain. On Friday he will be back home.
3. Culture aim: Be able to know some knowledge of letter.
Ⅱ.Main points and difficulties
1. Main points: To read and know the letter.
2. Difficulties: To master writing skill of the sentences: On Monday John went to a restaurant. On Tuesday he went to a park. On Wednesday he played ping-pong. On Thursday he climbed a mountain. On Friday he will be back home.

Step1. Warming up and Review
Let’s chant : My days of the week.
(设计意图:活跃气氛,增加兴趣,为下面的Free talk做准备。)
Review the words and phrases: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, ate good food, climbed a mountain, took pictures, sang and danced, played ping-pong.
3.教师告诉大家:I had fun with my students everyday.用英语I was happy.或I had a good time.来解释I had fun with you.
Step 2 Presentation
1. 词组、句型导呈
教师让学生试着用时间和动词词组组合起来造句。
(设计意图:在学生复习过相关动词词组后,让学生试着造句,很自然地由单词过渡到句子)
T:John gave his mother a letter, now let’s see the letter.
第一遍,先给出三个简单的问题,让学生听这封信,用听力来让学生初步感知这封信的内容,听完后,能够迅速回答出三个问题。
教师给出几个较有难度、学生需要进行思考才能回答的问题,在观看一到两遍动画后,用连线的方式来回答问题。
学生四人一组,分组讨论,认真读课文,让学生从中找出相关的动词过去式。
(设计意图:动词过去式是本单元的重点内容,这个环节是让学生熟悉动词过去式在文中的运用,在运用单词的过程中了解信的内容。)
板书相关动词过去式:have—had, go—went, eat—ate, sing—sang, dance—danced, play—played, climb—climbed, take—took
5. 请学生再次读课文,默读,完成书上的练习题。
(设计意图:通过再次阅读,熟练掌握文章内容,清晰地回答出问题。)
6. 巩固练习,运用动词过去式进行完形填空。
(设计意图:再次深入课文,让学生将课文内容落实到“写”上。)
