PAGE 2 岭南文化实践报告 作者：百香果巨无霸 Week 11 and 12 are our internship weeks. As a matter of fact, it’s the first time for us to have an internship outside. Also, it’s an opportunity for us to turn what we learned last three years into actions and find our shortcomings in order to our future learning. The theme of this internship is lingnan culture. On November 11, we had a mobilization meeting and teachers gave us some details about the internship. After that, I teamed up with two boys and one girl, discussing our destination. We decided to go to Shamian but we didn’t determine which aspect we should investigate. As we all know, Shamian is former British and French colonies so it must be meaningful in surveying the history of Shamian. However, considering interviewing some foreign tourists, we didn’t want to make culture collision and lead to misunderstanding, so we gave this theme up. Finally, we decided to analyze architecture culture of Shamian after searching information on the Internet. I’m proud of my teammates. Though our team has four students, we shared out the work and cooperate with one another. Preliminary work was finished quickly. On November 11 and 12, we designed Chinese and English questionnaires respectively. At the same time, we published online questionnaires to acquire more analysis samples. On November 13, it was the day that we started our outdoor activity. We planned to visit Shamian and take some architecture photos as for our presentation materials as well as getting a better understanding of Shamian’s architecture. At the same time, we tried to ask some tourists for questionnaires and just let them film the form instead of asking major questions. As a result, we couldn’t go on our programs successfully. We just walked around and continued taking architecture photos. At that time, we began to despair.
