The topic of this unit is ancient stories. 2、 The analysis of learning condition The students are from Grade 8 in junior high school. As the students of Grade 8, they have achieved certain English level and they have the ability to get the basic idea of the reading. 二、 Teaching aims: Knowledge aims: Get students to learn about the story of 100,000 arrows. Ability aims: 1. Develop students’ reading skills. 2. Develop students’ abilities to get key information. 3. Train students’ ability of thinking. Emotional aims: Stimulate students’ love of the ancient Chinese culture. Important points: Develop students’ reading skills and the skills of getting the main idea. Difficult points: Enable students to have the consciousness of thinking. 三、 Teaching methods: 1. Task-based teaching and learning. 2. Cooperative learning. 3. Discussing. 四、Teaching Procedure: Step 1. Leading in Appreciate the song“The Romance of the Three Kingdoms”. And get students interested in the story--- The story of 100,000 arrows.
