The lesson I ’m going to talk about is Unit 1 where did you go on vacation? I ’ll interpret my lesson plan from the following aspects: Firstly, I ’d like analyze the teaching material and learners. This lesson is from the section A of Unit 1 Book 8A PEP Junior English. This is period 1listening and speaking. The topic of this unit is holidays and vacations. The main task for ss it to talk about past events. Even though ss have learned the simple past tense before, they may still feel hard to talk about past events. Because they have just ended a long summer vacation without English. Luckily, the listening conversations offer good models for them to imitate. Thus, enough practice will be organized to stimulate ss’previous knowledge and learn some new words, expressions as well as sentence structures. Based on the analysis above and the New Curriculum Standard, I set the following teaching aims. Firstly, knowledge aims. After this class, ss will be able to understand the basic meaning of some indefinite pronouns, the simple past tense of some regular and irregular verbs and sentence structures. Such as, anyone, anything, anywhere, everyone, everything, bought, took, met, wonderful, quite a few, long time no see, where did you to on vacation? Did you go anywhere interesting? Did you do anything special? Did you go with anyone? Secondly, ability aims. By the end of this lesson, ss will be better able to talk about past events by using the target language above. Thirdly, emotional aims. During the class, ss ’ interest in English will be increased by talking about their happy summer vacation. Next, let ’s focus on the key point and difficult point.
