教学内容：八年级上册Module12 Help Unit2 Stay away from windows and heavy furniture. 二、课型：reading and writing 三、教学目标： 1、能够正确使用下列单词和词组： earthquake, warn, inside, under, window, keep, clear (of) , calm, brave 句型： 1）祈使句。2.）用must, can, should,mustn’t,can’t, shouldn’t等提出建议的句子。 2、能理解文章大意及结构，读懂关于突发事故及其相应措施的文字材料，掌握细节信息。 3、能够以地震中如何进行自我保护为主题写出相应的建议，并且能够批判性地用情态动词must, can, mustn’t, can’t等提出自己的观点。 4、培养学生在灾难中的自我保护意识和应对突发事故的能力。四、教学重难点： 1、能读懂关于突发事故及其相应措施的文字材料，理解文章大意，掌握细节信息。（重点） 2、能够以地震中如何进行自我保护为主题写出相关文段。（难点）五、教学准备：课堂整体运用任务型教学模式，培养学生独立自主的学习能力。本课指导学生通过扫读，查读和精读获取相关信息，培养学生的读写技能。在教学过程中，采用多媒体手段辅助教学，利用各种图片和习题任务贯穿整个教学过程。因此，本节课需准备：PPT课件、自已制作的简易地图和贴纸。六、教学过程：教学步骤教师活动学生活动设计意图 Step One Warming-up 1.Enjoy a video. T: What happened? T: When an earthquake happens, how do you feel? T: What damage can the earthquake cause? 1.Have students talk about what they know about an earthquake.. 2. Watch the video and think about this: What should we do during an earthquake? 引出话题，激发学生的兴趣。 Step Two Pre-reading Show a quiz and check how much they know about the earthquake. Work in pairs and talk about in different situations,people have different ways to save themselves. 3. Input new words earthquake,inside, hide, shake, lift, under, keep, clear (of) , calm, brave 1.Talk and learn some new words. 2. Know more about the earthquake and discuss what people can do in different situations. 3.learn new words:earthquake, inside, hide,shake, under, keep, clear (of) , calm, brave 引导学生通过小组竞赛,让学生进一步了解关于地震及地震中求生的知识。同时学习新单词和祈使句型，做到词不离句，为学生扫清读的障碍。 Step Three While -reading 1.
