Knowledge aims: (1) Key words: textbook, conversation, aloud, pronunciation, sentence, patient (2) Key phrases: have conversations with, practice pronunciation, give a report,word by word (3)Important sentences: ①A: How do you learn English? B: I learn by studying with a group. ②A: Do you learnEnglish by reading aloud? B: Yes, I do. It helps my pronunciation. ③A: How can I read faster? B: You can read faster by reading word groups. 2. Ability aims:Learn to talk about how to study. 3. Emotion aims:Learn touse English to tell others the ways to study English. = 2 \* ROMAN II.Important points:学会运用by + doing的结构表达做事方式。 = 3 \* ROMAN III. Difficult points:运用by + doing的结构表达做事方式。 = 4 \* ROMAN IV.Teaching process Warming up T: How do you study English? Do you study English by the following ways? (Show some pictures and present the important phrases.) S: I study English by working with friends/by making word cards/by asking the teacher for help/by reading the textbook/by working with a group/by listening tapes. Step 1 Listening 1b Listen. How do these students study for a test? Write letters from 1a above. 2aListen and check the questions you hear. 2bListen again. Match each answer below with a question above. Step 2 Pairwork 1c Make conversations about how you study for a test. 2c Make conversations using the information in 2a and 2b. 2dRole-play the conversation. Step3 Read and act Ask students to read the text loudly and then act it out in pairs. Language points 1.I study by working with a group. by+ v.-ing 表示通过做某事。 2.辨析aloud, loud和loudly aloud出声地;大声地。常与read/ call等词连用, 不用于比较级。 loud 大声地;喧闹地。指说话声和笑声,常与talk/ speak/ laugh/ sing等词连用, 常用比较级。 loudly 高声地;喧闹地。可以和loud互换,含有“吵闹”的意思,不悦耳。 3. It’s+too+adj./adv.+ (for sb.)+to do sth. 意思是“(对某人来说)做某事是……的”。 too ... to ... 结构常表示“太……而不能……”, too后面接形容词或副词, to后面接动词原形。 The more you read, the faster you’ll be. 你读得越多,你读得越快。(教材第2页)
