Teaching aims: To understand the text, and learn more about the bad effects of smoking, and how to stop smoking. To develop the reading skills(skimming/scanning for main idea, detailed-reading for important information, etc.) To learn how to ask for advice and give advice, as well as how to cultivate the awareness of forming good living habits. = 4 \* ROMAN IV. Teaching key points: To train the reading comprehension to the whole passage. To improve students’ ability of listening, speaking, reading and writing. Enhance the students’ reading skills in the passage. = 5 \* ROMAN V. Teaching methods: Co-operative learning; activity-based teaching = 6 \* ROMAN VI. Teaching Procedures: Step1. Leading-in Watch a video about “health”, and enjoy some pictures of activities: singing, dancing, playing sports, drinking alcohol, playing computer games, smoking, and eating junk food. 设计意图:通过视听健康生活视频歌曲引出关键词“健康生活”;通过观看健康生活有关图 片,引出本节课的话题“吸烟”。学前的热身活动,激活学生的兴趣,为后续学习作准备。 Step2.
