英语句子通常有两种语序: 一种是主语放在谓语的前面,叫做自然语序; 一种是把谓语放在主语的前面,叫做倒装语序。 倒装形式 见课本178页 强调和补充的部分： 部分倒装 1、句首有否定词或否定短语时，句子要部分倒装。 （1）常见的否定词有：never, hardly, scarcely, little, seldom, not, not until, rarely, no sooner …than / hardly… when, nowhere 等。 a) Nowhere in the world can you find a person who loves you so much! b) Not a word did he say at the meeting. c) Never before have I heard such a story. d) Not only did we lose all our money, but we also came close to losing our lives. (注意：后一部分不倒装） 把下列各句变成倒装句： 1) I didn’t leave until he came back. = Not until he came back did I leave. 2）The villager didn’t realize it until all the fish died in the river. = Not until all the fish died in the river did the villager realize it. （注意：主句中主谓结构部分倒装。） I had hardly reached the bus stop when the bus started. Hardly had I reached the bus stop when the bus started. ( 我一到车站，公共汽车就开动了。） 常见的否定短语有：in no way, in no case, at no time, by no means, in no sense, on no account, under no circumstances. 这些否定短语常放在句首，表示强调，译为“绝不……”。一定记住它们的介词搭配。 a) A thermometer put in the water tells us the temperature of water, but ___ does it show the amount heat the water contains.
