Each packet that travels through the Internet is treated as an independent unit of data without any relation to any other unit of data. 9. The most widely used version of IP today is Internet Protocol Version 4 (IPv4). 10. In the most widely installed level of the Internet Protocol (IP) today, an IP address is a 32- bit number that identifies each sender or receiver of information that is sent in packets across the Internet.
