Learn by practice and games. 情感态度 Let the students love animals and be friendly to them. 较高 目标 Make up dialogues about this lesson. 教学重点 Words: seal, dolphin, hippo Sentences: What’s that in English? It’s a seal. 教学难点 The dolphin is dancing. 教学资源准备 (教学所涉及的课外知识准备) Words about animals:cat,dog,tiger,pig,elephant,bear,giraffe Sentences: What’s this in English? It’s a giraffe. 教学用具准备 computer, courseware, cards and pictures 教 学 情 境 创 设 教师活动 学生活动 教 学 创 新 Ⅰ. Warming up 1. Show two pictures and ask: What are missing? Divide the students into four groups. 2. Name the four groups and spell out the words: cat, tiger, dog. II. Presentation 1. Show a calendar and tell the students: Today is Sunday. Where shall we go? Ask them to guess. It’s the zoo. What’s this in English? Help the students give the answer: It’s an elephant. Teach this and that. Play a guessing game to practice the drill: What’s that in English? 2. Show the pictures to teach the new word: seal. Help the students read and spell it one by one. Then teach the new words: dolphin, hippo. Read and practice them in drills. 3. The teacher ask a question: What can you see in the video? Then play the video twice. Let the students read after the video one by one. Ask them to read and practice the dialogue in groups. Encourage them to act out in class. III. Practice 1. Play a game to do some exercises. Use the present continue tense. Let the students listen and choose the right picture to the voice, then finish the exercises. Check the answers together, correct them in class. The students observe the pictures and try to find out the missing pictures. Try to read and spell out the words: cat, tiger, dog
