Period One Warming Up Reading
Teaching objectives
A. Knowledge objectives:
1) Students can get some knowledge about the Olympic Games;
2) Students can master some new words about the Olympic Games and can use them freely.
B. Ability objectives:
1) To train students’ reading and speaking abilities;
2) To develop students’ awareness of cooperation.
C. Moral objectives:
1) Try to stimulate students’ interest in learning English
2) Arouse students’ great interest in sports and the Olympic Games.

1. Let students learn more knowledge about the Olympic Games ;
2. Train students’ fast reading and speaking abilities.

1. How to make the students understand the reading text better.
2. How to help the students master the skills of fast reading and careful reading.
