Through to review and summary the clinical treatment of postmenopausal osteoporosis in this paper, exploring its clinical treatment effect and research directions. 　　[Key words] Postmenopausal osteoporosis; Action mechanism; Traditional Chinese and western medicine treatment 　　 　　人们对骨质疏松（osteoporosis）的认识是随着历史的发展和技术的进步逐渐深化，骨质疏松是由多种原因引起的一组骨病，以单位体积内骨组织量减少为特点的代谢性骨病变[1-2]。骨质疏松症的病理特点是骨矿含量和骨基质成分等比例地减少，骨皮质变薄，骨小梁减少变细，绝经后骨质疏松症时骨小梁断裂[3]。骨的塑形是骨吸收和骨形成的过程。
