T: Its a light bulb. (Students read “light bulb ” after the
teacher repeatedly.)
T: Who invented the light bulb.
Thomas Edison invented the light bulb in 1879.
Play a short game:
Teacher ask four Ss come to the front and give each of them a card with Thomas Edison, Invented, The light bulb, In
1879 on it. Then ask them to stand in order like the sentence.
Thomas Edison invented the light bulb in 1789.
Exchange the order of Thomas Edison and the light bulb and ask Ss:
Is it right now. Can we say like this.
Ask the fifth and sixth Ss with card of Was and By to cut in line and organize the right sentence.
