The TPS53676 is a step-down controller with dualchannels, built-in non-volatile memory (NVM), andPMBus? compatible serial interface, and is fullycompatible with TI NexFET? smart power stage.
Advanced control features such as D-CAP+?architecture provide fast transient response, lowoutput capacitance, and good current sharing. Thedevice also provides novel phase interleaving strategyand flexible firing sequences to improve thermalperformance. Adjustable control of output voltageslew rate and voltage positioning are also supported.
In addition, the device supports the PMBuscommunication interface for reporting the telemetry ofvoltage, current, power, temperature, and faultconditions to the system host. All programmableparameters can be configured by the serial interfaceand can be stored in NVM as the new default valuesto minimize the external component count.
The TPS53676 device if offered in a thermallyenhanced 48-pin QFN packaged and is rated tooperate from –40C to 125C.
