Unit9 Have you ever been to an amusement park?
Good afternoon!Nice to meet you here! I am Wang Shanshan, It’s my great honor to stand here to share my teaching ideas with you. Today I am going to talk about the first period in Section A of Unit 9 Have you ever been to an amusement park? , which is taken from Go for it, Book 4. My presentation consists of six parts: analysis of the teaching material, teaching methods and tools,analysis of the students, guide of studying ways, teaching procedures and blackboard design.
= 1 \* ROMAN I. Analysis of the teaching material
= 1 \* roman i)Status and function
This unit is aiming at talking about the Perfect Tense with the patterns of Have ever been to…
I’ve never been to…. The first period serves as an introduction and a lead-in part. The materials in talking are mostly from the recent real life and are familiar to students, so they are very interested in it. A series of questions and a big picture are used to attracts students’ listening and pairwork are also used in this period.
= 2 \* roman ii) Teaching aims and demands
1.??Knowledge Objects
In this lesson, Ss should master the new words :amusement and neither. At the same time, they should know how to use this sentence “Have you ever been to …
” and know how to answer it.
2.?Ability Objects
In this lesson, I’ll mainly train the Ss listening and speaking abilities and develop the Ss’ abilities of communication by learning the useful structures.
3. Moral Objects
From this lesson, the Ss should learn how to work with others and help each other, how to express their own ideas during the communication.
4. Teaching keys and difficulties
According to the teaching aims, I think the focus of this lesson is the new expressions and help the Ss to communicate with each other. The difficulty is to help the Ss make conversations freely using the target language.
