一、Teaching aims:
1. Master the following words :down, dialogue, ending, documentary, drama, plenty, plenty of, shut, shut off, superhero, once in a while
2.Master the key sentences:
① While some people stick to only one kind of movies, I like to watch different kinds depending on how I feel that day.
② When I’m down or tired, I prefer movies that can cheer me up.
③Documentaries like March of the Penguins which provide plenty of information about a certain subject can be interesting.
3. 进一步熟练掌握that/ which/ who引导的定语从句。
4.提高阅读能力,能够通过快速阅读找出主旨句及仔细阅读提取文章细节。
5. 能用定语从句表达自己的喜好, 并能对自己喜欢的音乐等进行描述。
二、Teaching importance and difficulties
1. Teaching importance:
1) 掌握本课时中出现的生词down, dialogue, ending, documentary, drama, plenty, plenty of, shut, shut off, superhero, once in a while
2) 学会用that/which/who引导的定语从句描述自己喜好

Teaching steps
Step = 1 \* ROMAN I. Warming-up
1.Free talk: What kinds of movies do you know?
Cartoons; documentaries; scary movies; romance; action movies....
Watch different pieces of different kinds of movies and talk about:
What do you think of each kind of movies?
How do you feel after watching it?
Step = 2 \* ROMAN II. Pre-reading
Look at the picture and the title quickly. Then answer the questions:
1. What can you see from the picture?
2. What may the passage talk about?
Step = 3 \* ROMAN III. Fast-reading
1. Read the passage quickly. Underline the different kinds of movies and circle the movie names.
2.Find out the topic sentence of each paragraph.
Step = 4 \* ROMAN IV. Careful-reading
Read para.2, then finish the task.
