With the acceleration of internationalization and the more frequent communications among countries.English has been common in our daily life due to it’s specially international status.It plays a more and more important role in society ,economy and livelihood. Since 2001,English became a required lesson of primary school for students reaching Grade three. The traditional teaching method is proved not to be suit for the students’ English learning.On the contrary,students fell bored in classroom and have little interest in English.As English becomes more and more accepted as an international language ,English education in Primary School is becoming a hot spot of concern.The new primary English curriculum standards points out that stimulating students’ interest is the target in primary stage.The purpose of stimulating students’ interest is to foster their positive attitude towards English learning and enable they to establish elementary self-confidence for English study .So interest is the most important thing in primary school.But how to stimulate students’ interest?How to change the boring traditional teaching model?How to produce a happy and relaxed atmosphere.Game teaching method is the best choice.“The game is the characteristics of children’s activities.Through the game, children’s inner activities and inner life will present in independent, autonomous external performance.Thereby they can gain happiness,freedom and satisfaction ,and keep the balance of their inner activities and outer life.Game is often accompanied by the express of language,which is conducive to the development of children’s language(Fredich Froebel 2009).In elementary school teaching, game teaching not only promote the development of children’s cognition ability ,but also is good for cultivating children’s study interest and self-determination .It can create a good learning environment for pupils ,arouse students’s enthusiasm and inspire to speak English.
