How can the hotel revenue performance be improved With the gradually decline of international travel, the hospitality and service industry on the globe has been seriously impacted on a large scale. To increase revenue for the hospitality industry, some necessary measures need to be taken and stimulate the liveliness and energies for hotels and relevant tourism. Some famous tourism-oriented city such as Macau, Venice, and Prague, have faced adversity short of labor for a long time. For instance, the labor shortage, ass one of the biggest challenges to the hotel industry is posing notable obstacles to the industry development and has given rise to several human resources management difficulties for the hotel industry in Macau (Lei, 2011). Meanwhile, In the Australian hospitality industry, the critical imbalance between supply and demand is mentioned frequently(Beesley Davidson, 2013). There is a recommended method to alleviate the negative effects brought by the labor shortage in the hospitality industry. Increasing the productivity of any department in hotels should be viewed as an effective way to generate profits and avoid redundancy. According to a research (Simpao, 2018), the rating system linked to employees in hotel categorized departments reveals no significant discrepancies, implying that they both have the same perspective on labor productivity techniques in three separate areas. This study shows that even some divisions and classifications may be applied in traditional hospitality industry and even many other industries, a general rating system for employee management in hotels can boost labor productivity through the same mechanism. Therefore, an effective and general rating and regulation system can be applied to such situation where insufficient employees have become one of the most troublesome challenges for hotels so that the management can be more specific and low-costing.
