When it comes to this topic, many words spring to my mind and I even do not know where I should start. There can be numerous qualities attached to an excellent sportsman, like talent, stamina, perseverance, resilience, and so forth. As for me, I believe all of them are necessary for any athlete who wants to be successful. As I previously stated, talent, or as I like to call it, the gift, should be a key prerequisite for prominent sportsmen. Without talent, no matter how hard they train or practice, they may still fail to champion since every sportsman who is determined to compete with others, will have the common aim in mind: to win. Therefore, with the same hard-working, the more gifted ones may be more likely to win. However, it doesn’t mean that stamina and perseverance are not critical for athletes. On the contrary, I believe that these two aspects are more crucial in motivating athletes to win. When we talk about this profession, we often emphasize how determined and courageous they are, because they can bear the arduous and dreary training all years along than us. Last but not least, the pride of the nation can be another incentive to make a great athlete. Driven by the deep affair to their countries, they feel honored to represent their country on the field and will work hard to take responsibility for it. In short, an outstanding athlete will have many valuable qualities in them, and it is these qualities that make them faster, higher, and stronger. I believe talent, tenacity, bravery, and a sense of responsibility will allow the athlete and the sports industry to keep evolving and progressing.
